Summer School 2024 Week Four – Chart Screen Customisation

Welcome to Week Four of our 2024 Summer School series. We are already over halfway through this year’s blog series!

This week, we are looking at how you can customise your chart screen with the updated ‘Chart Settings’ to enhance your workflow and meet your individual user requirements.

Having a seamless charting experience can significantly improve efficiency during a busy day in surgery, and with our enhanced settings we can help you achieve this in a way that meets your unique needs 🎉

Exploring 'Chart Settings'

Over the years your ‘Chart Settings’ menu has become the key to a customised charting experience. So how can you tailor the chart screen to your preferences?

  • Charting View: Easily switch up your chart view by toggling between four rows and two rows of teeth. Using a combined chart opens up more room on your screen for treatment planning and is perfect for practitioners who prefer a streamlined view without losing critical details.
  • Hover Charting: Hover charting can now be fully customised to fit your preferences, making it quicker and easier to navigate through your commonly used treatment items. Whilst we listened to your feedback for more customisation, the original ‘learn as you go’ logic can still be applied to your Hover Chart if this is your preferred method.
  • Clinical History Sidebar: While not a part of the ‘Chart Settings’ menu, this handy feature, located in the top right of your chart screen, gives you a comprehensive view of your patient’s clinical history and your cloud images* alongside your chart screen. This enables you to continue treatment planning with all the details quickly at hand. Simply toggle this on and off using the ‘Clinical History’ button.
  • Root View: The new root view** offers an enhanced way to manage root-related treatments and conditions, providing a detailed and comprehensive view of your patient's root health. This feature allows you to set up treatment items specifically designed to fill roots, making it easier to visualise and plan your treatments accurately.

💡 Top tip: These settings can be adjusted per user, meaning every practitioner can set up their chart to meet their own needs.

Benefits of Customisation

  • Enhancing Efficiency: Tailoring the chart screen to your requirements ensures you can access the information you need quickly, reducing time spent searching for details.
  • Improving Accuracy: A personalised chart view helps prevent errors by displaying information in a way that makes the most sense to you.
  • Increasing Satisfaction: Customising the charting experience to fit your individual preferences can lead to a more enjoyable and less frustrating workflow.

By taking advantage of these customisation options, you can create a charting experience that perfectly suits your own workflow and personal preferences, leading to better outcomes for both you and your patients.
