It is simple to switch

There are some people that just don’t like change, it is the fear of the unknown and the “what happens next?” question that can make people nervous. We understand that overcoming the resistance to switching patient management software for your dental practice can sometimes prove challenging, because your team are comfortable with the technology they have been using and they don’t want a change to disrupt the way they do things.

You know you need to take a leap, you may be tired and frustrated with your current software and you may have found your perfect solution but when you have a team who are all feeling anxious along with some excitement at the prospect of change, it can create pressure, that you don’t have the time to deal with.

However, switching your patient management solution does not have to be daunting, as the migration to another system should be as easy as the software is to use!  The benefits should outweigh any concerns and change is important for you to evolve and grow your dental practice.

At Dentally we assist you to alleviate the fears.  We work with you to help employees learn the new system so they can embrace it, understand how easy it is to use, as well as get the best out it so they (and you) can enjoy the benefits that it can bring to your patient management – which ultimately will save your team time by the efficiencies that Dentally can provide.

Fear of the unknown and the next steps once you have made the decision to switch, can be overcome as we ensure you know exactly what is involved at every stage of the process and beyond.  Here is all you need to know about the simple ten steps involved in switching to Dentally…

Step one – once you have signed your paperwork and agreed the level of contract that you would like, that works for your practice, our onboarding team will be in touch providing you with full instructions and welcome documentation for Dentally.

Step two – our onboarding team will cover your account set up, data migration and training. One of our onboarding team will call you to introduce themselves and arrange access to the dental software you are currently using.  This person will be your account manager throughout the process and a point of contact for your team.

Step three – as we are cloud-based, you not only get to work from anywhere but there is no need to worry about servers or IT, all you need is an internet connection on your computer(s) – you can run them on a operating system of your choice, we just need you to install Google Chrome.  We start tailoring your Dentally account at this point, based on your feedback.  Early access especially if you are coming from a paper based system, helps the set up as we can work with you to get your patients added to Dentally.

Step four - we will set a date for going live on Dentally with you.

Step five  3-4 weeks before you are due to start using Dentally, we will make a backup of the data that you currently hold and set up a preliminary Dentally account, which is a ‘sandbox environment’ for you to access. This is an opportunity for you to review your data alongside your dedicated account manager, to ensure there are no discrepancies.  It also gives you an opportunity to test the data without having to worry about making any kind of mistakes.

Step six – Your account manager will verify your data review and address any questions you may have.

Step seven – a final data migration is done the day/evening before going live to ensure you have all your up-to-date practice data for Dentally.

Step eight – on the day of go-live the account manager will visit your practice for two days. Usually the first day is training - we will offer you training as a group and then one-on-one with your team members as they familiarise themselves with the software.

Step nine – the second of the two days is a almost 'normal’ day for your practice and the account manager will be present and on-hand to ensure that you and your staff are comfortable and confident with the software.  In addition we will cover any specific requests or tweaks that you have for your data, as well as supporting you in setting up your practice templates and documents, such as letters and SMS within Dentally.

Step ten– we don’t then just leave you to it, our support team are alway available to answer any questions.  You can be assured that you have continuous and accessible support from the Dentally team as well as technical assistance if you need it.

It is simple to move to Dentally, there is no hassle, no expensive IT requirements – just a straightforward process to ensure that you switch over from your previous system is seamless.
