Introducing Adam: Our newest team member!

Dentally is continuing to grow and we're delighted to welcome Adam to our team. Adam is our latest Account Manager and will be helping train and support our customers. He's managed to find a few minutes to let us know a little bit more about him check it out below.

How did you first get involved in dentistry?

I fell into the dental industry. I was training on automotive software when my girlfriend’s (now wife) dental practice bought a dental software system. Unfortunately they wouldn't be able to get the dental software system installed for 6 months so I sent that dental software company my CV that very night and soon after an interview with them I was offered a job as a software trainer. That was 13 years ago.

I'm delighted to join Dentally, their progressive dental software can benefit any dental practice in the country.

What's the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?

I've always believed that when I am working closely with dental practices that my patience and calmness has been my greatest strength. I pride myself on being able to take any complicated feature or problem and simplifying it for the end users.

When I go into a dental practice I go in knowing that this software will help a practice become more efficient than they have ever been before and that this will make their job easier. I also love meeting someone who has never used a computer before and ensure that by the end of training they are competent using dental software. This gives me enormous satisfaction and a strong sense of pride.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

Everyone who knows me knows I hate exercise, I normally complain about walking to the car! However since the passing of my dad to cancer I have started to raise money for the local hospice that looked after him. Last year I completed the Sheffield half-marathon in 2 hours and 24 minutes, raising just short of £4000. In May of this year I will be walking the National 3 Peaks in 3 days. From this event I am hoping to raise £5000.

Where can we find you when you're not working? What's your favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?

As my job means that I am often away from home or working long hours, most weekends are spend with my family. I have two young girls who are amazing. I often take them to see Sheffield Wednesday or we spend time at English Heritage sites of which we became members last year. Generally I try to be outside as much as I can.
