What is cloud technology, and how can it benefit my practice?

However, as the world has progressed, the utilization of physical servers has declined due to the numerous advantages offered by cloud-based software. The cloud has composed all the benefits of physical servers into a more accessible and user-friendly platforms that can be accessed from any location.  

Physical servers also require maintenance, which can result in system downtime. During these maintenance periods, a practice may be forced to close for hours or even days at a time, leading to a disruption in patient care and potential loss of data and revenue.   • Q: The internet is slow in my practice, will this affect how Dentally runs?  

A: This won’t necessarily affect how well our system will run, however, we advise all customers to ensure that their internet meets the system requirements, you can find them here.   

 

  • Q: How do I check my internet speed?  

A: You can simply check this using Google, we recommend this website here.  

 

  • Q: Can I use Dentally on my phone?  

A: We recommend using Dentally on a computer for full functionality.  

  

  • Q: What web browser is best to run Dentally?   

A: For full functionality, we would recommend Google Chrome. Our Dentally Bridge feature is only compatible with Chrome.  

 

  • Q: Can other users log into Dentally outside of the practice?  

A: Practice owners can set up login restrictions using IP restriction, or even limit a user's login hours to enforce enhanced security measures. You can set this up using the guide here.  

 

  • Q: How safe is my data in the cloud?  

A:  Your data is completely safe in the cloud. Cloud-based systems often have better security measures in place than physical servers. Dentally uses advanced encryption and security protocols to protect your data, and our software is fully compliant with data protection regulations.
