Dr Shushil Dattani, Clinical Director at Kent Smile Studio has just moved his patient management software to Dentally - and although all of his team are currently working remotely due to Covid-19, he was still able to go live and our team provided comprehensive training remotely.
We asked Dr Dattani (SD) to share his experience of moving to Dentally.
Why did you choose Dentally?
SD: “We were previously using Carestream R4 as our patient management software, but with two practices on different sites we needed something that could tie both practices together to make it easier to run our business and for our practitioners to use. Dentally was the perfect solution, because it was cloud based and has multi-site functionality. The reporting capability of the software was also a big factor in our decision to move to Dentally”.
How did you find the initial stage of moving to Dentally?
SD “The handover from the sales process was excellent, a brilliant transition to becoming a customer. The next step was data migration - I found this very easy and the Dentally team were always quick to respond - which I was very impressed by. Once our data had been moved into our ‘Sandbox’ account in Dentally, we were able to check all the patient data and any changes that were needed were quickly made”.
Due to the current circumstances with Covid-19, you elected to take up an offer of remote training - how did you find this?
SD: “It actually went better than I had anticipated. We had 24 members of the team all join a Zoom meeting from their individual homes. They all were all able to click on a link that was emailed to the team to take part in the training - it was easy! It worked really well and importantly all our staff felt it so too.
Would you recommend remote training to other practices?
SD: “Yes, Adam who looked after us through the process was amazing, the training and service we have received has been brilliant”.
What do you see as the key benefits of Dentally?
SD: “The key benefits are the reasons we moved, as mentioned before. The cloud based nature of the software means we can work from either of our two sites or from home. The reporting features are second to none. I also think the SMS and email system within Dentally is much better than Carestream R4”.
