Clinical AI notes is a smart, secure tool built directly into Dentally that turns your note input - typed or dictated - into a clear, structured summary. It works alongside your existing note templates, giving you control over how you take notes, while removing the repetitive admin.  

It’s as easy as, Talk. Summarise. Done. 

How Does It Work? 

Using clinical AI notes is quick and intuitive - designed to fit seamlessly into your existing workflow. Start by clicking ‘AI Notes’ from the treatment item or go directly to the clinical side bar on your chart in Dentally.  
 
From there, you can either type your observations or dictate them using the microphone button. We recommend selecting one of your existing templates to guide not only yourself when dictating notes but to also guide the AI when summarising your dictation into a structured summary. 

Once you’ve captured the details, simply click ‘Generate Summary’ and the AI will process your input and return a clean, structured clinical note — ready for review. From here, you can Edit the summary as needed, make changes to your input and regenerate a new version or copy the output straight onto your patient's chart and save your notes! 

Before you summarize your notes, you can create multiple entries for a single patient - ideal for longer or staged treatments - and you can revisit previous drafts at any time from the archive.
